MEK Drilling cc is a drilling company established in 1978, which prides itself with an excellent record of quality work throughout South Africa. We have had many years of successful drilling experience.

Our services include: 

Drilling (Water drilling, Prospecting for mineral resources and Drilling of blasting holes), Earthmoving (on a small scale). 

We also build and supply drilling equipment for percussion drilling ventures throughout South Africa and Africa.

MEK Drilling’s head office is located in Vanrhynsdorp (Western Cape – West Coast Region). Mek Drilling’s operations, however,  are not limited to this province only, as we service the whole of South Africa. 

MANAGEMENT

Our team is a group of experts in their respective fields who collectively boast experience that spans well over 32 years. The management team consists of members who are dedicated to providing competent and professional services in accordance with international standards.

HEAD OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION 

Erica Vollgraaff 

Co-founder of MEK Drilling, Erica manages the financial and administrative functions together with her very able secretary, Judith Vermeulen, ensuring that the company is kept abreast with relevant regulations and procedures.

HEAD OF OPERATIONS 

Andy Vollgraaff 

Andy has been with the business since 1998. He is also an expert in drilling water boreholes as well as blasting holes.

HEAD OF MACHINERY 

Hermi Vollgraaff 

After completing his technical training, he joined the company in 2000. His expertise includes building and maintaining the drilling equipment. He has pioneered international projects. He specializes in large water borehole drilling.

HEAD OF MATERIAL MANAGEMENT 

Jonathan Vollgraaf 

Jonathan joined the company in 2002.  He manages the material management department of the company. He is responsible for ordering materials, equipment, binning of material, material queries and inventory control. He also manages the licensing of all the vehicles. His speciality is prospect drilling as well as blasting holes for mining companies.
